CHASR ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CHASR mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information collected automatically:

Anonymous identifier: When you first open the App, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. This generates a unique identifier that is not linked to your real identity. No email, phone number, or personal details are required.
App usage data: We store your streak count, total XP, missions completed, and other gameplay statistics to provide the core App experience. This data is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore) using your anonymous identifier.
Display name: You may choose a display name for the leaderboard and community features. This name is visible to other users. You can change it at any time.

Information you provide voluntarily:

Apple ID (optional): If you choose to link your Apple ID for account recovery, we receive a unique token from Apple. We do not receive your email address, name, or any other Apple ID information unless you explicitly share it.
Community posts: If you are a Pro subscriber, you may post text content in the community section. These posts are visible to all App users and are stored in our database.
Mission reflections: After completing a mission, you may write a reflection. These are stored locally on your device and in your cloud profile. They are not visible to other users.

Information we do NOT collect:

Real name (unless you use it as your display name)
Email address
Phone number
Location data
Contacts
Photos or camera access
Browsing history
Advertising identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the App experience
Track your progress (streak, XP, missions, level)
Display your rank on the leaderboard
Deliver push notifications (daily reminders and streak alerts) if you have opted in
Sync your progress across devices if you link your Apple ID
Process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store (via RevenueCat)
Moderate community content and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in two places:

On your device: App data is stored locally using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This data remains on your device and is protected by your device's security features.
In the cloud: Gameplay statistics, display names, and community posts are stored in Google Firebase Firestore. Firebase infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and is protected by industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase: Authentication, database (Firestore). Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use any advertising SDKs or analytics tracking beyond what is described above.

5. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications for daily mission reminders and streak-at-risk alerts. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through the App's Settings or your device's notification settings. We do not use push notifications for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Community Content

Posts submitted to the community section are visible to all App users. You are responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our Terms of Service. Other users may report posts, and posts that receive multiple reports may be automatically hidden pending review.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us at support@getchasr.com and we will promptly delete such information.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you reset your progress within the App, your local data is deleted immediately. Cloud data associated with your anonymous identifier may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion. You may request complete deletion of your data by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Data portability

10. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our database is operated. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
